Determination of Sulphuric Acid in Rhodium baths

Quantifying the sulphuric acid content in a rhodium plating bath is essential for the success of the electroplating process and for the efficient use of resources. Optimal levels ensure ideal conductivity and bath stability, allowing for uniform, bright, high-quality rhodium deposits. Incorrect values can reduce the quality of the coating or slow down the process. Regular monitoring of sulphuric acid helps to minimise waste, optimise costs and maintain high bath performance.

Method

Test Principle

Rhodium content is determined by its reaction with a chromogen that develops a coloration, the optical intensity of which is proportional to the concentration of the analyte in the analyzed sample.

Calibration curve

The calibration curve was obtained by correlating the CDR method with the reference method.
