Determination of Saccharin concentration in process water
Saccharin analysis allows the quantification of the concentration of this analyte in the process water. Monitoring the amount of saccharin in water is important to ensure that galvanic products meet the quality standards required by the market. Monitoring saccharin also enables optimization of additive use, reducing waste and associated production costs.
Test principle
The sample is dissolved in an appropriate solvent that allows measurement of absorbance at a fixed wavelength; the optical intensity is proportional to the saccharin concentration in the water sample analyzed.
Calibration curve
The calibration curve was constructed using standard sodium saccharin solutions. The trend of the curve confirmed an excellent linearity of the system over the whole measuring range.
