Determination of Palladium Concentration in Pd-Fe rinse water

The analysis allows the quantification of Pd in Pd-Fe rinse waters. Monitoring the concentration of palladium in the water used for washing galvanized parts allows optimizing the recoveries of this valuable. This is particularly useful in order to reduce possible economic losses by companies, especially given the high costs of this raw material.

Method

Test principle

Palladium content is determined by its reaction with a chromogen that develops a coloration, the optical intensity of which is proportional to the concentration of Pd in the analyzed sample.

Calibration curve

The calibration curve was obtained by correlating the CDR method with the reference method.
