Determination of Palladium Concentration in Pd-Fe electroplating baths
The analysis allows the quantification of Pd concentration in Pd-Fe electroplating baths and recovery waters. Monitoring the amount of palladium in electroplating baths is essential to set the correct parameters (e.g. deposition time, deposition thickness) in the electroplating process ensuring its good performance and preventing aesthetic and/or functional defects in finished products.
Method
Test principle
Palladium content is determined by its reaction with a chromogen that develops a coloration, the optical intensity of which is proportional to the concentration of Pd in the analyzed sample.
Calibration curve
The calibration curve was obtained by correlating the CDR method with the reference method.
