Determination of Magnesium concentration in process water
Magnesium analysis allows the quantification of Mg concentration in process water. Monitoring the amount of magnesium in water is important to ensure the high quality standards of the electroplating industry required by the market.
Method
Test principle
Mg2+ ions react with the chromogen in the reagent and generate colored complexes whose measured absorbance is proportional to the concentration of the analyte in the sample.
Calibration curve
The calibration curve was constructed using standard magnesium solutions. The trend of the curve confirmed an excellent linearity of the system over the whole measuring range.
